The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
We sat idly by and allowed government, on ALL sides of the isle, to slowly envelope our liberties and freedoms. Giving way to an expanse of "nanny state" tactics, "big brother" laws, and the loss of sovereignty for our individual states and nation as a whole.
Several states in the US are now exerting their 10th Amendment rights, it is time for the people of Arkansas to unite to demand our sovereignty and to push off the federal government.
The Constitution's soul purpose was to spell out what the government can do.The key principle of the Constitution is simple: positive grant. Not a phrase we hear much any more. It's not hard to understand, the Constitution authorizes the US federal government to exercise only those powers which are specifically given to it in the Constitution. Nothing more, and nothing less.
Our founding fathers were so dedicated to the sovereignty of states here is what they had to say:
"The States should be left to do whatever they can do as well as the federal government" -Thomas Jefferson
"Each State, in ratifying the Constitution, is considered as a sovereign body, independent of all others, and only to be bound by its own voluntary act. In this relation, then, the new Constitution will, if established, be a FEDERAL, and not a NATIONAL constitution"

There is a lot of glamour in the national scene right now but we should understand that our power is on the local and state levels....

What Is "Federalism," and How Is It Supposed to Work?
Widely regarded as one of America's most valuable contributions to political science, federalism is the constitutional division of powers between the national and state governments.
James Madison, "the father of the Constitution," explained it this way: "The powers delegated.to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the state governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, [such] as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce..The powers reserved to the several states will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people."1 And Thomas Jefferson emphasized that the states are not "subordinate" to the national government, but rather the two are "coordinate departments of one simple and integral whole..The one is the domestic, the other the foreign branch of the same government."2...
