Morning Roll Call~ News You Need to Know

More of the Same?

I listened to the Governor’s State of the State Address yesterday morning and then spent the rest of the day reading the summations from the “pundits” around the state.

This is what I heard: We have a way of doing things here in Arkansas and just because we have a new dynamic in the legislature don’t be gettin any big ideas. We’ll not be cutting taxes except the ½cent grocery tax that I say said we would. We’re going to expand Arkansas government by delving into our own medicare/medicade business. We’re gonna raise taxes for our “highway crisis” and we are going to spend $4million on the Dept. of Corrections implementing a new program for non-violent offenders.

Now I do realize that what I heard is filtered by my own political bias so below is a list of what others heard. Let me know what you think.
