I was born in Little Rock, AR and raised in Arkansas my whole life. I graduated from Little Rock Central (1985) and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Anxious to get out in the world I hit the job market.
I worked as a flight attendant before serving four years in the U.S. Navy from 1987-1991 during the first Gulf War as one of the first women to complete EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) training. I was part of the Marine Mammals Program that trained dolphins, sea lions and whales. Following my military service, I spent most of my time raising my two daughters and growing several small businesses. I have owned and operated several successful companies including residential construction, patterned concrete and rental properties.
In Nov 2004 I launched my activist career when I discovered sexually explicit books available to students of all ages in my local public schools. I formed a group called Parents Protecting the Minds of Children.
In March of 2009 I once again stepped into the political arena and played an active role in organizing TEA Parties within Northwest Arkansas and across the state under an umbrella organization known as Arkansas Unite!. On April 15th at the Fayetteville Square more that 2000 people gathered in protest.
My involvement in the TEA Party movement is what opened the door turning my passion into a career with American Majority. As of Jan 2009 I worked as a field representative, where I traveled the state of Arkansas helping common citizens make a difference in their communities by using tools of information, resources, and by networking with other like-minded individuals and organizations. In February 2010 I joined Americans for Prosperity as the Director of Grassroots of Arkansas again traveling the state educating Arkansans on specific issues that faced our state. Now I serve as Director of Grassroots for Southern Meridian, a consulting firm located in Little Rock, AR.
I live in Cabot, Ar and I have two daughters, Emmy and Hannah.
